I believe that there is nothing more intimate and important than portraiture. A photographer must be able to capture a person’s essence as well as their physical attributes. Every nuance of a soul and mannerism is impossible to capture in one photo, of course, but we are to try to represent the whole being in front of us and where they are at that moment.
